Enjoy a weekend or a weekday of gourmet cooking, nature walks and day tripping in Perth and Huron counties. Let us take care of your comfort and meals, so that you can relax, reconnect and go on some local adventures.




BREAKFAST INCLUDED WITH STAY


BEVERAGES

Coffee: Latte, Cappuccino, Regular or Decaf made to order from freshly ground beans; Tea: wide selection of loose and bagged teas to choose from; Water: Chilled or room temperature, still or sparkling; Juice:  Orange, Pineapple, Cranberry; Hot Chocolate: plain or with marshmallows and/or whipped cream

Seasonal Must Try:  Garden Fresh Tisane featuring our own roses and other aromatic freshly picked herbs.


STARTER

Fresh Fruit Plate with Yogurt

A delicate parfait glass of creamy Greek yogurt, sprinkled with toasted walnuts or pistachios and gently drizzled with local organic honey or maple syrup, decorated with coconut or berries. Fruit is artfully arranged on a plate around it. Toppings and fruit will vary so that your plate is never the same each morning. Freshest local fruit and berries will be used in season.

MAIN


Each day’s selection can be made from the list below, and where it says “eggs your way” please let us know how you would like them prepared: sunny side up, poached, over (easy, medium or hard) or scrambled. Please also let us know your preference for meats, where it says “choice of bacon, sausage or ham”. Yes, you can select all 3 for a nice variety. And where it says “white or whole grain” please let us know your preference as well.


Lox on a Bagel

made the night before from locally sourced rainbow trout, served on a toasted bagel with cream cheese, fresh arugula, thinly sliced cucumber and red onion with potato rosti and local farm eggs your way


Avocado Bagel Toast (Vegetarian)

toasted and buttered, with ripe avocado slices on top sprinkled with toasted pistachios,

drizzled with honey and a dash of freshly ground pepper with potato rosti and local farm eggs your way

Big English Breakfast

classic morning fry up: local farm eggs sunny side up, regular and peameal bacon and sausage, potato rosti, seared tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms and toast, served with our signature Jam Trio

Eggs Florentine

poached local farm eggs over cooked spinach on top of toasted halves of an English muffin, smothered in Hollandaise Sauce and served with bacon, sausage or ham on the side

Cheese Omelette (Asparagus or Mushrooms or Sweet Pepper & Zucchini) gently sauteed in butter with fresh garlic and pepper inside a three local farm egg omelette along with shredded marble cheese, served with a tomato on the side, with a potato rosti and bacon, sausage or ham and white or whole grain toast with our signature Jam Trio


Croque Madame or Monsieur

sophisticated Parisian ham sandwich, smothered in Béchamel sauce, topped with Swiss and Parmesan Cheeses and baked until golden, fried egg on top for Madame and no egg for Monsieur, with a side of baby greens and seasonal veggies

Classic Pancakes or Waffles

fluffy buttermilk pancakes or fresh off the iron waffles, topped with fresh and stewed berries as well as fruit, drizzled with melted butter, maple syrup and topped with whipped cream with a choice of bacon, sausage or ham

Sweet & Savoury Breakfast Crepes

classic European delicate crepes folded with sour cream and seasonal fruit and/or berries, sprinkled with toasted pecans and served with honey on the side for drizzling, with slices of salami and Brie cheese

Monte Christo French Toast

slices of brioche bread dipped into egg yolk and fried until golden with cream cheese and ham slices in-between, sprinkled with fresh berries and served with local maple syrup for drizzling

Crab Imperial Eggs en Cocotte

our McIntosh Farms free range eggs baked in ramekins with real crab meat, smothered in herbed butter and cream, served with buttered toast



BREAKFAST DESSERT PASTRY

Please select your choice of breakfast pastry for every day of your stay. These are made in-house and baked fresh every morning to be eaten as your breakfast dessert and/or with tea or coffee during the day.

  • Croissants: Plain (served with our signature Jam Trio) and/or Chocolate Filled

  • Danishes: Cherry, Cheese or Lemon Filled

  • Cinnamon Buns with Cream Cheese Icing

  • Pecan Butter Tarts

  • Banana & Walnut Bread


BREAKFAST TO GO

Although, we can have your breakfast ready as early as you require, we can certainly offer a very delicious “to go” option, all wrapped up and ready:

  • 2 Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches (our house made croissants filled with ham, scrambled egg and cheese and baked until cheese has melted), meats can be replaced with braised Portobello mushroom for a vegetarian version

  • House made breakfast parfait cup

  • Taste of Nature or another premium brand cereal bar

  • Dessert pastry of your choice

  • Coffee or tea to go

  • Juice box & a bottle of water


LUNCH OPTIONAL AT $20 PER PERSON

The following lunch entrees can also be selected for a lighter dinner. Any dessert can be added to lunch or this lighter dinner version for $10. A complementary glass of house white, red or rose wine is included with every meal along with sparkling bottled or still filtered water with or without ice. A variety of other soft drinks is available. Also, we do not charge a corking fee, please feel free to bring your own wine or other drinks to enjoy with meals, in your suite or anywhere on the premises.

Gourmet Bison Burger

Perth county Bison burger, grilled on the BBQ and topped with a beer braised Portobello mushroom, a slice of Cheddar, local farm bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion, garlic Aioli, served on a Brioche bun, freshly cut kettle cooked fries or House salad on the side, replace the burger with an extra Portobello for a vegetarian version


Dumplings of the World: Polish Pierogies the Canadian Way

house made potato and onion pierogies baked with cheddar cheese, topped with farmer’s sheared bacon, and green onion, served with sour cream and a small village salad on the side


Greek Pasta Salad

crunchy vegetables, grilled Herlick’s purer pork sausage, salty feta, combined with cooked pasta, then drizzled with freshly made dressing, a scrumptious meal sized summer salad


Gaspatcho with Brie & Mushroom Crostini (Vegetarian)

this light, cold and refreshing summer soup made from fresh tomatoes and herbs goes really well with the rich whole grain crostini topped with sauteed mushrooms and Brie slices, baked until melted and slightly golden on top



PICNIC TO GO OPTIONAL $20 PER PERSON

With summer weather upon us, you may want to have a picnic somewhere in a picturesque spot. Although, is very beautiful here as well, we can certainly offer a very delicious “to go” option wrapped up in an insulated bag with a cooler pack (recommended to be eaten within 2 hrs, unless refrigerated)


  • French Bistro Croissants (our house baked croissants filled with an assortment of deli meats, cheeses, mayo, lettuce, sun dried tomatoes). Meats can be replaced with braised Portobello mushrooms for a delicious vegetarian version.

  • Snack size bags of chips

  • Veggies with dip

  • Dessert pastries

  • Fresh fruit

  • Soft drinks of your choice

  • Bottled water


3 COURSE DINNERS OPTIONAL AT $35 PER PERSON (includes a starter, main & dessert)

All dinner entrees come with house baked dinner rolls and butter. A complementary glass of house white, red or rose wine is included with every meal along with sparkling bottled or still filtered water with or without ice. A variety of other soft drinks is available. Also, we do not charge a corking fee, please feel free to bring your own wine or other drinks to enjoy with meals, in your suite or anywhere on the premises.


Please select your starter, main and dessert. We will finalize all the details once you make your choices and it will be ready when you are.

Mussels in White Wine

made with our house white wine, steamed in wine, butter, onion and garlic reduction and sprinkled with freshly picked parsley


Fried Halloumi with Strawberries & Herbs

Mediterranean cheese pan fried until golden, served on a bed of arugula with fresh strawberries and herbs, drizzled with local organic honey


Farmer’s Bacon Caesar Salad

hand torn romaine lettuce, tossed with our house Caesar Dressing, made with fresh garlic and lemon juice, sprinkled with sheared Macintosh Farms bacon, oven baked croutons, generously topped with Parmesan shavings


Seasonal House Salad (Vegetarian): Summer Garden Vinegrette

baby greens, Julienned vegetables, artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, oven baked croutons, olives, tossed with freshly mixed Maple Balsamic Dressing, Bocconcini Cheese and thinly sliced red onion


Lobster Bisque

a rich and creamy bisque filled with buttery chunks of delicious real lobster


Black Tiger Shrimp Cocktail

large tiger shrimp served with house made cocktail and sweet chili lime sauces


Cold Beet Root Summer Soup

this colourful classic Eastern European summer soup is very refreshing on a hot day, natural sweetness of the beets is complemented by fresh lemon juice, served with a boiled farmers egg, a dollop of sour cream and fresh dill


MAINS


Springhill Trout with Garlic Butter Herb Sauce

pan fried trout with a simple sauce of butter, white wine and parsley, served alongside a zucchini boat


Grilled Lamb Chops with Red Wine & Honey Glaze

our McIntosh Farms lamb chops, grilled and basted in red wine and honey marinade, served with toasted couscous and grilled vegetable salad


Garlic Roasted Chicken with Crispy Sage

chicken quarters slowly roasted with freshly ground pepper, heads of garlic and freshly picked sage, served with braised spinach and pine nuts


Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Vegetable Skillet

a delicious medley of large shrimp, chorizo sausage and summer squashes and other veggies, lightly sauteed in mild cajun seasoning and served in a skillet


BBQ: Herlick’s Pure Pork Sausage Coil Feast

large local farm sausage coil grilled and served over a generous serving of baby greens topped with peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled mushrooms, beets, onions, olives, oven baked croutons, drizzled with our freshly made Maple Balsamic Vinaigrette


BBQ: Perth Pork Products Bone-In Smoked Pork Chop

local farm large and thick pork chop in Maple BBQ Sauce with grilled summer vegetables


Ontario’s West Coast Duck Confit

brined and slowly roasted duck legs from McIntosh Farms served with Confit potatoes and cherry & arugula toss


Woodland Mushroom Garlic Pasta (Vegetarian)

a variety of mushrooms sauteed in a skillet with whole garlic, Thyme, butter and White wine, tossed with premium Buccatini pasta, generously topped with Parmesan shavings


DESSERTS

Creme Brulee

French dessert classic, gets its rich taste from fresh cream, minimal sugar,

seared caramel top, served with seasonal fruit or berries


Rhubarb Pie with Lavender Ice Cream

made from our freshly picked Monster Rhubarb and the pie crust made from scratch, butter crumble top, served with a scoop of our house Lavender ice cream made with real cream and flowers from Lavender Works Co.


Summer Bounty Pavlova

light and airy (it was named after a ballerina, after all!) oven baked meringue, topped with whipped cream and seasonal berries or fruit, with a mint sprig and seasonal fruit or berry coulis


Chocolate Mousse

rich chocolate mousse made from whole ingredients, chilled to perfection and topped whipped cream and shredded chocolate on top, decorated with mint and seasonal fruit or berries

AFTERNOON TEA OPTIONAL $30 PER PERSON

an assortment of dainty sized sandwiches on a variety of bread with crusts removed, with or without cheese (cucumber and egg, ham, roast beef), smoked salmon cream cheese spread pinwheels, bite sized vegetables, scones with Devonshire cream, fresh and stewed fruit and/or berries, pastries and cookies, served with your choice of tea from our large selection, coffee or another drink of your choice



OUR SIGNATURE CHARGUTERIE BOARD OPTIONAL $20 PER PERSON

our Signature Charcutier Board presents an artfully arranged assortment of cheeses, cured meats, crackers and/or baguette slices, fresh and dried fruit, bite sized veggies, olives, savoury and sweet preserves, local honey, served on a board with a complementary glass of wine



GUESTS 15 AND UNDER STAY & EAT FREE

This is what we came up with for our guests 15 and under. We can also prepare our version of your child’s favourite dish if you let us know what it is. We will discuss this and iron out all the wrinkles when you make your choices.


Personal Pizza made with our own crust (please let us know what you would like on it), Classic Cheese Burger (please let us know what you would like on it), Chicken Tenders (gently breaded strips of chicken breast from a local farm, breaded in panko and fried until crispy), served with Plum or Cherry Sauce for dipping & fresh seasonal veggies, Spaghetti & Meatballs,  Ice Cream Your Way (Chocolate and/or Vanilla Ice Cream in a bowl or in a cone with a tray of various toppings, including sprinkles to decorate yourself)


ADDITIONAL EXTRAS INCLUDED WITH STAY


We offer complimentary refreshments and a small Charcutier board upon you arrival. Any time you maybe feeling peckish, make sure to stop by the Bar & Kitchen and help yourself to some cookies or pastries, fresh fruit basket or a variety of individual snacks at the bar. All drinks and snacks are complementary during your stay, either stocked in your room or at the Bar.


Bottomless Cookie Jar

fresh cookies, baked upon your arrival and when more are needed, great when filled with ice cream as a sandwich or on their own


DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND OTHER REQUESTS


Please let us know of any allergies, food intolerance or if vegan or vegetarian or any other diets need to be adhered too. We have extensive experience with vegan cooking, in particular, and can adjust the existing options to make them suitable or offer an alternative menu plan. Same goes for any other restrictions and/or allergies and intolerance. You will have a chance to finalize and approve all the choices before your stay.


All menu choices are available on reservations made in advance. Drop in guests will enjoy our Daily House Specials.

ABOUT OUR KITCHEN & BAR CREATIONS


All our recipes are made from scratch and with local ingredients as much as possible. We grow and preserve our own herbs, vegetables, berries and legumes and source as much as we can from local producers. Our list of local suppliers is available on our website.
