Enjoy a weekend or a weekday of gourmet cooking, nature walks and day tripping in Perth and Huron counties. Let us take care of your comfort and meals, so that you can relax, reconnect and go on some local adventures.




BREAKFAST INCLUDED WITH STAY


BEVERAGES

Coffee: Latte, Cappuccino, Regular or Decaf made to order from freshly ground beans; Tea: wide selection of loose and bagged teas to choose from; Water: Chilled or room temperature, still or sparkling; Juice:  Orange, Pineapple, Cranberry; Hot Chocolate: plain or with marshmallows and/or whipped cream


STARTER

a delicate parfait glass of creamy Greek yogurt, sprinkled with toasted walnuts or pistachios and gently drizzled with local organic honey or maple syrup, decorated with coconut or berries. Fruit is artfully arranged on a plate around it. Toppings and fruit will vary so that your plate is never the same each morning. Freshest local fruit and berries will be used in season.


MAIN


Each day’s selection can be made from the list below, and where it says “eggs your way” please let us know how you would like them prepared: sunny side up, poached, over (easy, medium or hard) or scrambled. Please also let us know your preference for meats, where it says “choice of bacon, sausage or ham”. Yes, you can select all 3 for a nice variety. And where it says “white or whole grain” please let us know your preference as well.


Lox on a Bagel

made the night before from locally sourced rainbow trout, served on a toasted bagel with cream cheese, fresh arugula, thinly sliced cucumber and red onion with potato rosti and local farm eggs your way


Avocado Bagel Toast (Vegetarian)

toasted and buttered, with ripe avocado slices on top sprinkled with toasted pistachios,

drizzled with honey and a dash of freshly ground pepper with potato rosti and local farm eggs your way

Big English Breakfast

classic morning fry up: local farm eggs sunny side up, regular and peameal bacon and sausage, potato rosti, seared tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms and toast, served with our signature Jam Trio

Eggs Florentine

poached local farm eggs over cooked spinach on top of toasted halves of an English muffin, smothered in Hollandaise Sauce and served with bacon, sausage or ham on the side

Cheese Omelette (Asparagus or Mushrooms or Sweet Pepper & Zucchini) gently sauteed in butter with fresh garlic and pepper inside a three local farm egg omelette along with shredded marble cheese, served with a tomato on the side, with a potato rosti and bacon, sausage or ham and white or whole grain toast with our signature Jam Trio


sophisticated Parisian ham sandwich, smothered in Béchamel sauce, topped with Swiss and Parmesan Cheeses and baked until golden, fried egg on top for Madame and no egg for Monsieur, with a side of baby greens with thinly sliced cucumber, tomato and radish


Classic Pancakes

fluffy buttermilk pancakes, topped with fresh berries and served with local maple syrup for drizzling, sour cream and melted butter on the side, with a choice of bacon, sausage or ham and scrambled local farm eggs


Sweet & Savoury Breakfast Crepes

classic European delicate crepes folded with sour cream and seasonal fruit and/or berries, sprinkled with toasted pecans and served with honey on the side for drizzling, with slices of salami and Brie cheese

Monte Christo French Toast

slices of brioche bread dipped into egg yolk and fried until golden with cream cheese and ham slices in-between, sprinkled with fresh berries and served with local maple syrup for drizzling


Belgian Waffles

straight from the waffle iron and served with fresh berries and stewed fruit, drizzled with melted butter, maple syrup and topped with whipped cream with a choice of bacon, sausage or ham



BREAKFAST DESSERT PASTRY

Please select your choice of breakfast pastry for every day of your stay. These are made in-house and baked fresh every morning to be eaten as your breakfast dessert and/or with tea or coffee during the day.


Although, we can have your breakfast ready as early as you require, we can certainly offer a very delicious “to go” option, all wrapped up and ready:

  • 2 Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches (our house made croissants filled with ham, scrambled egg and cheese and baked until cheese has melted), meats can be replaced with braised Portobello mushroom for a vegetarian version

  • House made fruit cup & small Yogurt

  • Taste of Nature or another premium brand cereal bar

  • Dessert pastry of your choice

  • Coffee or tea to go

  • Juice box & a bottle of water


LUNCH OPTIONAL AT $20 PER PERSON

The following lunch entrees can also be selected for a lighter dinner. Any dessert can be added to lunch or this lighter dinner version for $10. A complementary glass of house white, red or rose wine is included with every meal along with sparkling bottled or still filtered water with or without ice. A variety of other soft drinks is available. Also, we do not charge a corking fee, please feel free to bring your own wine or other drinks to enjoy with meals, in your suite or anywhere on the premises.

Hot Reuben Sandwich

rye bread slices filled with corn beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, freshly made Russian dressing and pan toasted until buttery golden and cheese has melted, served with freshly cut kettle cooked French fries or House or Caesar salad


Moussaka

layers of eggplant and McIntosh farms ground beef in red wine tomato sauce made from our own tomatoes, smothered in Bechemel with a pinch of nutmeg and baked to perfection,

with mozzarella cheese on top, served with warm pita bread


Warm Me Up Soup Flight

fall and winter is the time that calls for warm hearty soup to warm up your body and soul and we had a hard time picking just one as we love making soups! 1/3 tasting size soups served with toasted baguette slices: Classic French Onion, Coconut Curry Pumpkin Soup and Ontario’s West Coast Seafood Chowder. Can be modified into 2 larger servings or 1 full size serving of of the soup(s) you like most.


Gourmet Personal Pizza

thin buttery flatbread topped with pear slices, brie, prosciutto, arugula and drizzled with local organic honey OR suggest your own toppings and we will create one according to your liking


ON THE GO (FORMER PICNIC TO GO) OPTIONAL $20 PER PERSON

With the cold seasons ahead, early fall and late spring maybe still quite suitable for a nice picnic somewhere in a picturesque spot or, perhaps, you would like to take care of your lunch or dinner for the remainder of the day. We can offer a very delicious “to go” option wrapped up in an insulated bag with a cooler pack (recommended to be eaten within 2 hrs, unless refrigerated)


  • Two French Bistro Croissant Sandwiches (our house baked croissants filled with an assortment of deli meats, cheeses, mayo, lettuce, sun dried tomatoes). Meats can be replaced with braised Portobello mushrooms for a delicious vegetarian version.

  • Small bag of chips

  • Veggies with dip

  • Dessert pastries

  • Fresh fruit

  • Soft drinks of your choice

  • Bottled water

All dinner entrees come with house baked dinner rolls and butter. A complementary glass of house white, red or rose wine is included with every meal along with sparkling bottled or still filtered water with or without ice. A variety of other soft drinks is available. Also, we do not charge a corking fee, please feel free to bring your own wine or other drinks to enjoy with meals, in your suite or anywhere on the premises.


Please select your starter, main and dessert. We will finalize all the details once you make your choices and it will be ready when you are.

Mussels in White Wine (Gluten Free)

made with our house white wine, steamed in wine, butter, onion and garlic reduction and sprinkled with freshly picked parsley


Farmer’s Bacon Caesar Salad

hand torn romaine lettuce, tossed with our house Caesar Dressing, made with fresh garlic and lemon juice, sprinkled with sheared farmer’s bacon, oven baked croutons, generously topped with Parmesan shavings


Seasonal House Salad (Vegetarian, Gluten Free)

baby greens, Julienned vegetables, artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, oven baked croutons, olives, tossed with freshly mixed Honey Dijon Dressing, Bocconcini Cheese sprinkled with thinly sliced red onion on top


Coconut Curry Pumpkin Soup (Vegetarian & Vegan, Gluten Free)

fragrant and creamy pumpkin soup made with coconut milk and curry

sprinkled with toasted pumpkin seeds


Classic French Onion Soup

caramelized onion, white wine and savoury beet broth, topped with a slice of toasted white French loaf bread and grilled in the oven with a slice of Swiss cheese on top


Ontario’s West Coast Seafood Chowder

Springhills Fish trout, a premium seafood mix, real cream, topped with mussels in shell, sheared farmer’s bacon and green onion


Crispy Coconut Shrimp

breaded in house with a mixture of unsweetened coconut and Panko, baked in the oven until crispy and served with garlic butter and sweet Chili sauce for dipping


MAINS


Parmesan Crusted McIntosh Farms Lamb Chops

three lamb chops in parmesan crust, served with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted root vegetables

Creamy Tuscan Chicken

McIntosh Farms chicken breast cooked in a skillet until golden, then smothered in Tuscan sauce made with real cream, spinach, cherry and sundried tomatoes over Farfalle pasta


Classic Pork Schnitzel

our house made boneless McIntosh Farms pork cutlets, breaded in Panko and gently fried until golden, served with buttered European style egg noodles and Honey Cole Slaw


Not Your Average Jambalaya

rich and flavourful Cajun dish made with chicken, large shrimp and mussels, Chorizo sausage, long grain rice simmered in tomato sauce, mildly spiced and served with sliced fresh Jalapeno on the side, in case extra spiciness is desired


brined and slowly roasted Frenched duck legs from a local farm with crispy skin in our specialty Ontario’s West Coast Rum & Maple Sauce, served with Confit potatoes and cherry & arugula toss


Herlick’s Pure Pork Sausage Coil Harvest Feast

large local sausage coil roasted in the oven along with butternut squash, sweet peppers, apples and pecans, served with greens on the side


Pan Fried Springhill Trout Teriyaki

a filet of locally sourced rainbow trout, gently fried and served crispy skin up with a side of Jasmine rice, sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds and coriander, served on a banana leaf with garlic Bok Choy and sweet red pepper


Woodland Mushroom Garlic Skillet Pasta (Vegetarian)

a variety of mushrooms sautéed in a skillet with whole garlic, Thyme, butter and White wine, tossed with premium Bucatini pasta, generously topped with Parmesan shavings


DESSERTS

Creme Brulee (Gluten Free)

French dessert classic, gets its rich taste from fresh cream, minimal sugar,

seared caramel top, served with a rolled wafer on the side


Tropical Pavlova (Gluten Free)

light and airy (it was named after a ballerina, after all!) oven baked meringue, piled high with tropical fruits, softly whipped cream and runny local organic honey, it's a real showstopper


Cherry Cheesecake

our specialty cheesecake with honey butter baked cracker crust and soft

whipped cream and cheese filling, cherry pie filling on top, gets its rich taste

from freshly whipped cream and minimal sugar


Classic Pumpkin Pie

luscious pumpkin pie in a buttery flaky crust, made from scratch, rich pumpkin filling

topped with freshly whipped cream


Mini Apple Pie with Spiced Rum Cream

apple slices sprinkled with coarse sugar and baked in braided buttery flaky crust, made from scratch, drizzled with lightly whipped fresh cream flavoured with spiced Rum, served with a slice of old cheddar


Flourless Chocolate Cake

made with dark chocolate, butter and sugar, baked mousse like soft texture due to the lack of flour, topped with whipped cream and a dark cocktail cherry on top


AFTERNOON TEA OR CHARCUTIERS OPTIONAL $40

Serves two, $10 for every additional guest over 12


These options are alternatives to lunch and/or dinner if they seem to better fit your plans. For example, if you would rather eat out, but still would like a meal served here in the afternoon, these would fit the occasion. Perfect for sharing. Ready when you are.


Afternoon Tea

an assortment of dainty sized sandwiches on a variety of bread with crusts removed, with or without cheese (cucumber and egg, ham, roast beef), smoked salmon cream cheese spread pinwheels, bite sized vegetables, scones with Creme Fraiche, fresh and stewed fruit and/or berries, pastries and cookies, served with your choice of tea from our large selection, coffee or another drink of your choice

Charcutier Board

our Signature Charcutier Board presents an artfully arranged assortment of cheeses, cured meats, crackers and/or baguette slices, fresh and dried fruit, bite sized veggies, olives, savoury and sweet preserves, local honey (with real honeycomb), served on a board with a complementary glass of wine



CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER STAY & EAT FREE

Most of our menu options can be served in smaller, child appropriate portions. However, if something simpler is desired, here is what we have come up with. We can also prepare our version of your child’s favourite dish if you let us know what it is. We will discuss this and iron out all the wrinkles when you make your menu choices.


Grilled Cheese with carrot and celery sticks and garlic mayo dip, Chicken Tenders (gently breaded strips of chicken breast from a local farm, breaded in panko and fried until crispy), served with Plum or Cherry Sauce for dipping & fresh seasonal veggies, Spaghetti & Meatballs with Cucumber Slices, Personal Pizza made with our own crust (please let us know what you would like on it), Ice Cream Your Way (Chocolate and/or Vanilla Ice Cream in a bowl or in a cone with a tray of various toppings, including sprinkles to decorate yourself)


ADDITIONAL EXTRAS INCLUDED WITH STAY


We offer complimentary refreshments and a small Charcutier board upon you arrival. Any time you maybe feeling peckish, make sure to stop by the Bar & Kitchen and help yourself to some cookies or pastries, fresh fruit basket or a variety of individual snacks at the bar. All drinks and snacks are complementary during your stay, either stocked in your room or at the Bar.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND OTHER REQUESTS


Please let us know of any allergies, food intolerance or if vegan or vegetarian or any other diets need to be adhered too. We have extensive experience with vegan cooking, in particular, and can adjust the existing options to make them suitable or offer an alternative menu plan. Same goes for any other restrictions and/or allergies and intolerance. You will have a chance to finalize and approve all the choices before your stay.


All menu choices are available on reservations made in advance. Drop in guests will enjoy our Daily House Specials.

ABOUT OUR KITCHEN & BAR CREATIONS


All our recipes are made from scratch and with local ingredients as much as possible. We grow and preserve our own herbs, vegetables, berries and legumes and source as much as we can from local producers. Our list of local suppliers is available on our website.
